Floating License Exit Form

This form is available if you have a floating license. A floating license allows one or more Symphony users to access Symphony using the same license. Only one user may use Symphony at a time.

The Floating License Exit form comes up when you leave Symphony. This is dependent however on your configuration. The options on this form let you control the behavior, as do the options on the Manage Symphony License form.

Return License to Pool

This is the default setting. When this option is chosen, the license is returned to the license pool and it becomes available for another user.

Keep License

This option keeps the license on your computer. If you choose this option, other users will not be able to use the license to access Symphony, even if you are not using it.

Normally you would want to return the license. But if you intend to work while you are not connected to the Internet, you would need to have the license available for your use.

Always take this action

If you check this checkbox, this form will not come up when you exit Symphony. Instead, Symphony will take the action you chose above. If you change your mind about releasing or keeping the license, you can always change your choice in the Manage Symphony License form.
