Demographic Values List

Demographic Values List

This sub-view displays the Demographic Values for the Demographic highlighted in the Project Tree.values currently in use for a Demographic. This view is accessed by clicking on a Demographic in the Project Tree while in Standard View. The following functions can be performed here:

Assign an existing value to a Respondent

Drag the value from the Demographic Values list and drop it onto the Respondent's name in the Project Tree. The value currently associated with that Respondent will be replaced with the value you dropped. The count of values in use will be updated accordingly.

Substitute an existing value with a new value

Double-click the value, press the Enter key with the value highlighted, or right-click the value and choose Properties from the context menu. A form will come up where you can change the value. All Respondents using the old value will be updated with the new.

Consolidate similar values

If you have two or more values that mean the same thing (e.g. Germany and Deutchland) you can consolidate them into one. To do so, drag the value you want to replace onto the one you want to keep. For example, if you want Germany and Deutchland to be consolidated into Deutchland, drop Germany on Deutchland. Germany will disappear from the list and all the Respondents using Germany will now be assigned Deutchland.

Change the value order

Highlight an item that you want to move, then either click the Up or Down arrow, or while holding the Control key down, press the Up or Down button on your keyboard.
